Today I am going to share with you what is the SSC Subject List for exams for all groups (Science, Commerce, Arts/Humanities). We will provide you with separate subject lists for all departments and also share the subject codes of all those subjects.
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination is conducted under the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh. The government ministry also decides what subjects will be included in the SSC examination.
Since long ago SSC exam has been divided into three categories. Science Group, Business Group, Arts Group. These three groups have different subjects. Although there are four compulsory subjects for all groups.
So in this article, we will share with you the SSC subject list that candidates will participate in the SSC exam. A separate list will be provided for each group so that students can see and understand what is the subject list for the science group. What is the subject list for the business group? And which is the subject list for the arts or humanities group?
SSC Subject List With Subject Code
The Secondary School Certificate [SSC] examination has a total of 5 compulsory subjects. Which includes Bengali first paper and second paper, English first paper and second paper, mathematics, ICT, and Religion education. Apart from this, group-wise subjects are different.
Compulsory subjects for each group are those subjects that are the same in every department and compulsory for all. Apart from this, there are group-wise subjects and optional subjects which students can select according to their own.
SSC Exam Compulsory Subject List
Below is the list of all the compulsory subjects that candidates are required to participate in the SSC exam. Note that these subjects are compulsory for each group and the students participate in this examination on the same day all over the country simultaneously.

Science Group Subject List
In the SSC examination, the students of the science group study the group-wise subjects apart from the compulsory subjects and give the examination. Science group students have to select physics, chemistry, biology, and optional subjects in addition to compulsory subjects. There are some subjects in the science group, let’s see them.

Commerce Group Subject List
In the case of commerce or business group SSC exam students also have to select their group-wise subject. Along with the main subject or compulsory subject. Here you have to select optional subjects including Accounting, Finance and Banking, and General Science, etc.

Arts/Humanities Group Subject List
In the SSC examination, Arts group students have to select four subjects/or optional subjects including their group-wise subjects like Geography, Economics, General Science, etc. along with the main subject.

SSC Book List in Bangladesh
The Secondary School Certificate SSC exam is conducted under the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board of the Government of Bangladesh. The exam syllabus and examination procedure is prepare by the education board.
In the SSC SSC exam, which books students will read i.e. what will be the syllabus is provided by the education board. Students participate in SSC examination generally in three groups.
SSC candidates participate in the exam from the Science Group, Commerce Group, and Arts Group. And the subjects of each group are different. Exams are conducted on the subjects taught in class nine and class ten.
Although the subjects of each group are different, some mandatory subjects exist the same in all groups. Students of all groups participate in the examination of Bengala’s first paper and second paper, English’s first paper and second paper, mathematics, religious education.
However, the students of the Science group participate in group-wise subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Higher Maths. Commerce group students participate in Finance and Banking, Accounting, Business Essentials, and other optional subjects.
Apart from this, the students of the Arts group participate in examinations in Geography, Civil and Citizenship, Economics, General Science and optional subjects.
The three compulsory subjects are equal for all the optional subjects are selected and the syllabus is formulated by adding the group subjects and the students participate in the examination.
